Get ready for fall 2016 in Chattanooga, TN

The heat is letting up in the 'Noog, making this past weekend a great weekend at the River Market and Chattanooga Market. The breeze on the Tennessee Aquarium Plaza and the sun shining on this awesome city made for a phenomenal afternoon. The Chattanooga Market was hopping, as usual, with live music and a youth boxing arena. I got some vegan pepper jack cheese from my friend's at Crumble Berry Market, which is fantastic. The only thing about being an omni that I miss is cheese and sour cream, totally not worth participating in factory farming, but it's nice to have a substitute when I need some comfort food. I also picked up some organic peppers tomato and eggplant from one of the farmers, which did not disappoint when I roasted them last night. I truly love the Chattanooga Market and I am so thankful that I get to be a part of it.

This will be our busiest fall yet at Chattanooga Face Paint. The studio is ours on Thursday and the first client meeting will be held the very next day. (EEK!) In September we will be at the usual Chattanooga Market and River Market, as well as the Blue and Gray BBQ Festival in Chickamauga, Ga, the Three Sisters Blue Grass Festival at Ross's Landing and MAYBE even the Hamilton County Fair. October is totally full with several events every weekend. Thank God for my amazing artists Victoria and Katie, I don't know what I would do without them!

For more events we are attending check out our public calendar.

Going #Legit

I am so incredibly excited to announce that today I will be signing the lease agreement on our new studio at Chattanooga Workspace. I can barely come up with words to describe what this means to me personally besides to explain that having an art studio and 'making it' as an artist was that far off, unreachable dream I had as a kid while watching Bob Ross reruns. I would imagine that it's similar to how an aspiring astronaut would feel when he hears the news that he's been hired on at NASA. Seriously, I'm that excited.

This collaboration will open so many doors for Chattanooga Face Paint and, hopefully, for Chattanooga Workspace as well. A brief preview of some things I've got in the works: Face Painting Workshops, Photography Workshops, Various Craft Workshops, Art Basics for Kids classes (A dream come true! Thank you Universe!), Birthday Parties for Aspiring Artists and so much more.

The Workspace offers gallery expeditions and open studios nights, an amazing patio area and conference room for workshops or parties, and 24/7 access for artists, all of which I'm chomping at the bit to share with my clients. I am beyond grateful for this opportunity and intend to become a huge asset to the collaborative and the Chattanooga arts community.
