Fall Events in Chattanooga This Weekend

October, the busiest month of the face painting year, is more than half way through. There is still plenty of fall fun to be had for those of you fall junkies. This weekend CFP will be at the Redbank Artisan Festival, the Chickamauga Pumpkin Festival and Amazon's Company Fall Festival.

The Redbank Artisan Festival is a festival new to the Chattanooga area. It is put on by the Redbank Masonic Lodge on October 22, 2016 from 10am to 5pm. It is a gathering of local artisans and crafters offering a variety quality handmade products.

The Chickamauga Pumpkin Fest is also a fairly new event in Chickamauga put on by the Friends of the Gordon Lee Mansion. Chickamauga, GA is only about a 20 minute drive south of Chattanooga. With it's quaint southern charm, picturesque shops and rich civil war era heritage it makes the perfect destination for a quick weekend getaway from the city.

The Amazon Fall Festival is a private party put on by Amazon for it's employees. If you are interested in adding a unique flair to your next corporate event please contact us as soon as possible. We have no more openings in October and we are filling up through January for the Christmas season very quickly.

Chattanooga Face Paint to Attend Aquascarium at the Tennessee Aquarium

Aquiascarium IX will be held Friday October 28, 2016

Come in costume and celebrate a family-friendly night of spooky critters and yummy treats! Make new friends at the mermaid lagoon, but beware of pirates looming nearby. Don’t miss an unforgettable photo op with one of your favorite characters as they SCUBA dive with hundreds of fish. Get your groove on at the Monster Mash dance party with some of the Aquarium’s lovable mascots, while enjoying the candy stations throughout both buildings!

I'm so excited to announce that Chattanooga Face Paint will be there in costume ready to paint faces, as well as at many future events at the Tennessee Aquarium.

We love painting animal faces at CFP, it's one of our specialties, and hanging out outside of the Aquarium for the past several months has gotten us a lot of requests for everything from Orkas to Jellyfish to Sharks. We are prepared to paint the aquascariest faces for our guests and so super excited to be partnering with the the Tennessee Aquarium.

Get ready for fall 2016 in Chattanooga, TN

The heat is letting up in the 'Noog, making this past weekend a great weekend at the River Market and Chattanooga Market. The breeze on the Tennessee Aquarium Plaza and the sun shining on this awesome city made for a phenomenal afternoon. The Chattanooga Market was hopping, as usual, with live music and a youth boxing arena. I got some vegan pepper jack cheese from my friend's at Crumble Berry Market, which is fantastic. The only thing about being an omni that I miss is cheese and sour cream, totally not worth participating in factory farming, but it's nice to have a substitute when I need some comfort food. I also picked up some organic peppers tomato and eggplant from one of the farmers, which did not disappoint when I roasted them last night. I truly love the Chattanooga Market and I am so thankful that I get to be a part of it.

This will be our busiest fall yet at Chattanooga Face Paint. The studio is ours on Thursday and the first client meeting will be held the very next day. (EEK!) In September we will be at the usual Chattanooga Market and River Market, as well as the Blue and Gray BBQ Festival in Chickamauga, Ga, the Three Sisters Blue Grass Festival at Ross's Landing and MAYBE even the Hamilton County Fair. October is totally full with several events every weekend. Thank God for my amazing artists Victoria and Katie, I don't know what I would do without them!

For more events we are attending check out our public calendar.

Going #Legit

I am so incredibly excited to announce that today I will be signing the lease agreement on our new studio at Chattanooga Workspace. I can barely come up with words to describe what this means to me personally besides to explain that having an art studio and 'making it' as an artist was that far off, unreachable dream I had as a kid while watching Bob Ross reruns. I would imagine that it's similar to how an aspiring astronaut would feel when he hears the news that he's been hired on at NASA. Seriously, I'm that excited.

This collaboration will open so many doors for Chattanooga Face Paint and, hopefully, for Chattanooga Workspace as well. A brief preview of some things I've got in the works: Face Painting Workshops, Photography Workshops, Various Craft Workshops, Art Basics for Kids classes (A dream come true! Thank you Universe!), Birthday Parties for Aspiring Artists and so much more.

The Workspace offers gallery expeditions and open studios nights, an amazing patio area and conference room for workshops or parties, and 24/7 access for artists, all of which I'm chomping at the bit to share with my clients. I am beyond grateful for this opportunity and intend to become a huge asset to the collaborative and the Chattanooga arts community.
